Strong ties have been established between Belarusian and Ukrainian companies in such industries as mechanical engineering, petrochemicals, food production, woodworking.
“In the current conditions associated with the difficulties and limitations caused by the pandemic, the main task is to keep existing ties, not to lose what has been gained over the years of successful cooperation. And despite the fact that this year there is a slight decrease in the trade turnover, there are also new projects of enterprises of the two countries – both in traditional spheres and in the field of scientific research and new technologies. And holding a meeting of the Advisory Council is a positive signal for business, confirmation of the intention of the companies of the two countries to deepen cooperation, discuss and jointly overcome the difficulties that have arisen this year, ” accentuated Vladimir Ulakhovich.
As part of the work of the Advisory Council, an online ceremony of signing bilateral commercial contracts and agreements was held. Nine documents on cooperation in the petrochemical industry, an agreement between the institutes of the Academies of Sciences of Belarus and Ukraine on the implementation of projects in the field of new technologies, as well as six agreements on cooperation between regional chambers of commerce and industry were signed.
