On the initiative of the The Department of trade and services of the Gomel region Executive Committee and the Khokimiyat of the Fergana region, on July 10, 2020 Gomel branch of the BelCCI organized an online forum with the representatives of authorities, business circles of the Gomel region of the Republic of Belarus and the Fergana region the Republic of Uzbekistan.
From the Belarusian side:
– OJSC “Managing company holding ”Gomel meat & dairy company” – the largest production of meat and dairy products in the Republic of Belarus. The holding structure includes five meat processing plants, seven milk processing plants, and two trading houses;
– PI “Gomeloblprom”, which includes Joint Venture JSC “Spartak”,
JSC “Krasny Mozyryanin”, JSC “Gomel Wine Factory”,
JSC “Gomel Distillery “Radamir”, OJSC “Mozyr Distillery”, JSC “Gomel fat factory”,
JSC “Mozyrsalt”, JSC “Elsk canning plant”, JSC “Comintern”, JSC “Rechitsa textile”;
– JSC “Trading house “Sozh” – an enterprise that conducts wholesale trade of food and industrial goods.
The Fergana region of Uzbekistan was represented by the Deputy Khokim of the Fergana region for investment and foreign trade Abdurakhmonov M.T., Head of the Fergana territorial Administration of the CCI of the Republic of Uzbekistan Atabaev O.U. informed the participants of the event on the business potential of the Fergana region, followed by presentations of the Uzbekistan companies.
During the event, the participants discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation in the trade of fruits and vegetables, textiles, meat and dairy products, construction materials, agricultural machinery and equipment. In addition, the topic of opening a trading house of the Fergana region in Gomel was also touched upon. A representative of the Main Department of Justice of the Gomel region Executive Committee commented in detail on the legal procedure.
General Director of the Gomel branch of the BelCCI Marina Filonova noted the active cooperation with the Fergana territorial Administration of the CCI of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and informed on the readiness to assist the Uzbek companies in establishing business contacts with partners in the Gomel region.
